Ashley River Park Wedding

This was my own wedding, designed as a living study in seasonal planting for Charleston’s winter climate.

The concept centered on a warm, fall-inspired palette adapted for a December brunch setting. Plant selections were chosen specifically for their ability to thrive in Charleston’s late-season conditions, ensuring the arrangements would remain healthy beyond the event.

All ceremony and reception pieces were composed entirely of living plants, without the addition of cut florals. The intention was to create a fully immersive, garden-based environment that could transition seamlessly into the landscape afterward.

Because it was my own wedding, I collaborated with another florist for the personal flowers, including the bouquet and boutonniere, which were delivered ahead of time for installation.

More than two years later, several of the original centerpieces are still living and thriving in outdoor containers, continuing the life of the design long after the event.
