Edisto Island Wedding
The design was developed in collaboration with the bride, using both her inspiration imagery and a detailed assessment of plant selection suited to her property’s conditions.
The resulting concept focused on loose, airy branching forms and a light, bright seasonal palette that felt natural to the landscape.
The ceremony served as the primary focal point. A large covered structure was transformed with layered arrangements of fresh branches and flowering plants, blending the installation into the surrounding environment. These larger focal pieces were complemented with abundant cut florals to create softness, movement, and scale.
The aisle was lined with smaller planters, adding color and guiding the visual flow toward the altar.
For the reception, the design was intentionally restrained. Minimal bud vases allowed the landscape and view to remain the central feature, with subtle floral accents supporting rather than competing with the setting.
After the ceremony, the aisle planters were repurposed to frame the seating chart, extending the design elements into a second moment of the event.
